About Northwest Airlines

Northwest Airlines was a major United States airline founded in 1926 as Northwest Airways [Northwest Airlines - Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Airlines). It operated continuously under the same name longer than any other U.S. airline before completing a merger with Delta Air Lines in 2010 [Timeline - Northwest Airlines History Center](https://northwestairlineshistory.org/timeline). Prior to the merger, it was a significant player in domestic and international travel, maintaining a major hub in Minneapolis-St. Paul and operating a large fleet of aircraft [Northwest Airlines - Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Airlines).
