Cleveland SeaforthAbout Leeward Islands Air Transport
Leeward Islands Air Transport (LIAT) was a regional airline headquartered in Antigua and Barbuda that operated high-frequency inter-island flights across the Caribbean. Founded in 1956, the airline was majority-owned by several Caribbean governments and served as a crucial transportation link in the region. After facing financial difficulties exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, LIAT (1974) ceased operations in January 2024 and was subsequently replaced by a new entity, Liat Air.
